Buzz Word Burnout

If I see one more post about “chaos to clarity,” I might bust a gut laughing—or have coffee spurt out of my nose.

Why? Because it’s everywhere.

Every headline promises miraculous transformations that sound just like a late-night infomercial for the next wonder product.

What if your business doesn’t feel like a near-death experience?

What if you actually like what you’ve built—and just want a few things to work a little better?

“You don’t need chaos to create change.”

🌸 A Little Fluff is Good for Your Soul

First of all, if you’re here, you like a little fluff in your life.

That’s why we work—to enjoy our friends, our family, and our furry creatures.

Fluff isn’t failure—it’s proof you built a business that supports your life.

Improving your business processes can live hand-in-hand with a full, rewarding personal life. Ambition and comfort do work well together. I promise.

💬 A Client Who Just Wanted Calm

Last month, one of my clients said,
“I actually love my business. I’m just… tired of the noise.”

We laughed. Because—what noise?

That’s another one of those buzzwords tossed around by people trying to poke your pain points.

Instead, we simplified her pricing strategy, grew her profit by double digits, and gave her the freedom to reward her team financially.

“No drama. No rock bottom. Just quiet, confident progress.”

🕰️ My Own Wake-Up Call

I’ve lived the burnout phase.

There was a time when I wore exhaustion like a badge—sleep was optional, boundaries were blurry, and joy was something I’d “get to later.”

Then one day, I realized my schedule didn’t own me.

So I started making tiny, unglamorous changes.

One decision, one boundary, one late-night epiphany at a time.

“You’re allowed to want better without declaring everything broken.”

🔧 Change Doesn’t Have to Be Dramatic

There’s this idea floating around that success comes from blowing everything up.

Rebrand! Reinvent! Burn it down and rise from the ashes!

Or, you could adjust one activity.

Set a boundary.

Flip one previous decision on its head and see what happens.

Take Friday afternoon off and go to the zoo.

“Growth doesn’t have to roar; it can hum quietly in the background.”

❄️ The Kind of Work Coaching Was Made For

This is the kind of work coaching was made for—teaming up to talk about what’s important to you, seeing your options from an outside perspective, and taking defined steps to fix what’s been bugging you.

Coaching isn’t about boiling the iceberg—it’s about incremental change, the kind that lets you watch the ice melt and make adjustments along the way.
That’s how progress becomes permanent—and enjoyable.

“Most things aren’t broken — they just need a tune-up.”

Think you made a bad hire?
Think again. Recruiting.Hiring.Training.Retention. Four words that can make even capable business owners feel slightly nauseous. But here’s the thing we don’t say out loud often enough: Hiring problems are rarely people problems. They’re leadership system problems. And if you’ve ever had the joy of offering employment to another human being—congratulations. You’ve stepped into one of the most r...
