Have you ever identified a priority and then put a roadblock in front of it?

As in...

“I really need to update Client TWE’s pricing. But the year end is coming up, so I should probably just wait until that’s finished.”

In that one breath, you set a priority and then exhaled with a “poof.” And the priority was gone.
